Ok, first and most important... you need to get the max loyalty of every member of the team doing their personal missions.

With that in mind, the best choices are:

The tech especialist for the vents: Legion or Tali (or dlc character Kasumi)

For the first squead leader: Garrus, Miranda or Jacob.

For the biotic shield: Samara or Jack (only with the implants you can buy her)

For the second squad leader: Again Garrus, Miranda or Jacob.

For escorting the survivors back to the Normandy, I usually choose Mordin.

Finally, for the final team to go with you most people reccomend Miranda, Tali, Jack, Thane or Samara.

After the end of the game, if you survive the suicide mission you can keep playing and exploring the galaxy. If you've completed one of the romance options you can call Shepard's significant other to his/her room.

Huh, I just figured once I beat it, start anew. (Did all the missions prior to the Reaper IFF and helping Legion) Thanks, i'll give it a go on my next run through!
