I was walking back to my suv/hide and this guy flew offthe roof of the barn and landed 30 ft behind me. He was way too close for my 560mm lens. All I could do was shoot and wish I had my zoom lens. My suv was setup for the 560mm to get full frame if the snowy landed in the area with the mice.

The first words out of my mouth when I saw this was "Holy crap"...Talk about an awesome shot!! I love the fact that you can still see the mouse's eyes right before it disappears... it seems to be saying "Bye bye" with that little paw reaching out. And yes, it is a little dark, but this is part of the circle of life..
