Description Kinda surprised I never got around to showing some of these. These were some pages for a story that appeared in Tales Of The TMNT #30. Was a short backup story and fun to work on. Pencils were by uber-talent Jon Landry, who has since gone onto fame working on such projects as Spawn Animated, Midnighter, and an upcoming arc on the Warcraft comic that Wildstorm is publishing.

Yep just keep working at it. I didn't know what I was doing when I started out. I used Sharpie pens until I started trying other tools. So it's all about practice and trial and error. Good luck.

I'd say just go down to your local art store and experiment with all sorts of tools. I use Pitt Brush pens when I'm inking/drawing myself. And when I'm inking other artists, I use a combination of nibs and brushes and Speedball Super Black india ink.

You really use brushes? I tried several times but I couldn't guide my lines in the suitable way...How many pratice you needed to use it properly?

When I ink my own pencils, I tend to use Pitt brush pens, just because my style tends to be more thick and animated. When I'm inking other artists, like on this page, I'll use nibs, tech pens, and brush to fill in.

Raphael. My Favorite Turtle. I wish you guys still doing the current book. I'd like to pick the book, but the art is just not my cup of coffee.

For awhile they were using a range of different artists. But then they had a new editor step in and a new direction for the book using their inhouse staff (since they've stopped the regular TMNT title and needed to give them something to work on). It's too bad. I liked the previous approach.
