The use of bold and thin lines amazes me...
I really like how clear it is! I so love b&w picts! ^^

Yep just keep working at it. I didn't know what I was doing when I started out. I used Sharpie pens until I started trying other tools. So it's all about practice and trial and error. Good luck.

I'd say just go down to your local art store and experiment with all sorts of tools. I use Pitt Brush pens when I'm inking/drawing myself. And when I'm inking other artists, I use a combination of nibs and brushes and Speedball Super Black india ink.

When I ink my own pencils, I tend to use Pitt brush pens, just because my style tends to be more thick and animated. When I'm inking other artists, like on this page, I'll use nibs, tech pens, and brush to fill in.

For awhile they were using a range of different artists. But then they had a new editor step in and a new direction for the book using their inhouse staff (since they've stopped the regular TMNT title and needed to give them something to work on). It's too bad. I liked the previous approach.
