No, that is a mistake a lot of people mean would be fact but real fact is that if Charmander got a small flame it just feel wimpish and the body temperature is lowered. Because of the inner body heat it can regain it's power over and over again. It just needs some time until the temperature has it's normal state. PokΓ©mon's weaknesses are never this hard.

Are you certain, it states specifically in the original versions (Firered and Leafgreen are far easier to read though) that if a Charmander's flame ever fully extinguishes, he/she/it dies.
However, this is not a problem because this Charmander's tail is not fully out. The light on its tail is still on.
To be honest Dracomonstar, i think your talkikng about Charmeleon.
