Description FINALLY managed to upload this after we got the scanner fixed (sort of). For this I used normal pencils as well as water colours (but I didn't put water on the watercolours as I didn't want that effect) because I didn't have the regular pencils in the colours (namely the golden brown that's on the wings, tail and head) that I needed. The thing that the Griffin is holding in it's mouth is a baby griffin, but I didn't spend that much time on it so it's not particularly good
From DragonArt, which I haven't drawn from for a looooong time XD

NeonDragon's DragonArt: How to draw Fantastic Dragons and Fantasy Creatures. It's a great book to work with isn't it. It's very informative. Good job.

I think I'm only missing like one or two of her books. I do have an autographed copy of her second book that details more on how to draw dragons. ^_^

Normally I just use coloured pencils (the exact name of them is the Ergosoft colouring pencils, I think) but for this I was missing a couple of essential colours, so I used some watercolours that matched the colours from the book. I sometimes use pen for the small things such as the eyes, but not on this piece XD

Actually this is really quite nice. The colors are very nicely done, unfortunately I find colored pencil a hard medium to work with. It always seems to just have a "colored pencil" look to it, if that even makes sense.

Thankyou Yeah, I see what you mean. I had that problem with some of my earlier pieces
I find coloured pencil one of the easier mediums to work with, but thats just me XD
