It seems like she's trying to make amends, at least giver her a chance.

I know exactly how you feel. People tell me I should be greatful for the things she buys me and the money she gives me, but unlike her Ive never cared for material things.

At least she appears to be trying. It's better than what my Dad did. He had my love as a daughter, but he still felt he had to buy my love. After I hit 18, he stopped calling, never texted me when I tried talking to him. Money became a big thing for him. I've all but shut the door on him unless I need financial help because he was supposed to help pay for college, he broke that promise at the beginning

All I can say is (and I'm going to sound like a bad person here), she seems to be trying. And what kind of mother actually knows what their children's interests are? I can tell you, I don't know much parents like that.

If you want to give up on her, fine, give up, cut her out of your life, but stop complaining. Sorry, but to me it sounds like you only have one foot out of the door. Of course, I can be completely wrong about the situation. If I am, I honestly apologize. If she's not worth it, just don't let the little things she does bother you. You have a life, you can live it without her. Good luck.

I know that too well. And the worst part is these sms on the phone, when she tries to make me think I'm a bad person not writing her back.

I know what this is like. my mom does the same thing now that I live with my dad. It hurts me deep down to know that she doesn't know me well enough to send me something even close to who I am. I share your pain ST -hugs-

This is my mother to a T. You aren't alone; I've been away from my mother for almost 2 years and she's tried to buy me back for the last year, she never knew very , much about me either. I share you pain, ST.

Hahahahahahahahahaha- This is my mother.
I shouldn't laugh, but I laugh because it's ironic and I know how you feel. You aren't alone.
