Doodle I did of Nox tonight--simple but relaxing. It's in the traditional category because it originated as such. Very quick sketch and then ink job using a brush micron, color added in PS.It's times like these I look at him and can really see how he's evolved as a character, from when I first started drawing him. Sometimes I don't like where my style goes, but in this case... I wouldn't have had him develop any other way.

SO THIS IS WHAT YOU WERE WORKING ON INSTEAD OF THE STORY EDITING, MS. SLACKER. DON'T LIE TO ME. I WAS ON ONENOTE READING WHAT YOU HAD SO FAR.
I feel like this sort of style is on the opposite spectrum of your usual style of shinies and complicated lines, but I really enjoy this one in its simplicity. The lines/colors aren't exact/perfect, but it's that kind of "raw" brush strokes that I enjoy the most in these sorts of paintings.
I can also definitely see this as an art cover or poster or something. :3 Or better yet, if you created three others like this of different characters/hues/emotions, I could see this being put side by side to make a wallpaper of sorts.

STOP GIVING ME IDEAS. I explicitly told myself, "No, I'm not making this a series, or a poster, or anything bigger than it is. >8|" I thought about something like a keychain though... Or like, a bookmark? I dunno... |D Maaybe if there's enough demand.

Because then the uniqueness of this one is lost and it looks more mass produced. |D; Much like my character posters. I get away with it on those because I put a ton of work into each one, but after Nox it was more, "Okay, we've seen this before" type of feeling I was getting. 8D;
Except with Aaron where it surpassed the original, lololol

I love the look on his face. He just looks...conflicted but also somewhat serene for some reason.
Makes me wonder what he's thinking. Even if he's a ladies man I bet he can have some deep thoughts when he wants!
