Full title: Young and old versus rich and poor.
This was taken during a holocaust commemoration in May 2005 in Antwerp. The young boy listens to a speech with what can only be described as an expression of skepticism whereas the old man listens and remembers the horrors as a tear rolls down his cheeck. The old hassidic man's expression is moving and embodies the pain the jewish community underwent in Europe during the WOII. The other gentleman sitting behind him seems to be of a richer descendence and had probably escaped the holocaust, his proud chin evokes a certain level of indifference towards the matter.
