Oh my gosh, I love this SONG!!!!
Whose your favorite cast for the this song? The first or the second?

I like elements of both! But the second, probably, I really like the way Rex Smith sings some of those songs. How about you?

It's funny cos when he (Rex Smith) acted the role he sometimes came across a little too sharp and angry. Chauvelin isn't really quite as shouty, imo. But yeah, the way he sings Where's the Girl... his voice is perfect for it.

I. WANT. THAT. HAT. Actually Marguerite's costumes were making me go crazy with costume jealousy or something. SO COOL.

lol Their outfits at the ball were making my head explode with detail. And I love Marie for being a costume designer!

Yeah mine was about to explode too. I even really loved her getup right at the beginning for Storybook (that pink wig thing was immense)

When I properly know who the characters are, I will know what you're talking about because I just started this book! But you're right about Chauvelin. XD He still looks great, though!

Ah, fun! It's not a long book at all. Let me know what you think when you've finished!
And thanks. I can't help it, I just like him so much (and I'm usually not one to side with the 'baddies' ).

I definitely will! I've heard mixed opinions on Chauevelin, but I will reserve judgment until I've read the book. XD

He's a lot more of a strictly bad guy in the book (but I still kind of liked him). I think to some extent I prefer most of the adaptations that played on the love-triangle thing. And I usually don't care at all for love triangles.

I'm not much of a love-triangle person either, but this character sounds really interesting. I really need to finish it now. >.<

Which movie version are you watching? I've liked - for different reasons - all the adaptations I've seen so far.

It's the 1982 version. I love the guy who plays Percy; he's amazing!

Ah, that's the one with Ian McKellen, yes? He's actually adorable in that film.
And yeah, Anthony Andrews is great, he does the foppish thing so well, and the voice he puts on makes me laugh.

Well, okay! I know he's kind of unpleasant. And a murderer. But there's something really tragic about his character I think. But to each their own! Percy is still awesome.

Anthony Andrews. Love that man.
My favorite version of the Pimpernel story, outside the book, of course. And what? I didn't know there was a musical . . .
