This is it
After all this time
I'm here at last
In the afterlife

It's not what I imagined
I've always thought
Clouds and blue skies
Were what waited
On the other side

Instead I see two worlds
Both at the same time
One of shining light
The other of pure darkness

The world of light
Is like a dreamscape
Everything I love
Beautiful imagery
Childhood friends
And loving family
All my fondest memories
Relived before my eyes

The world of darkness
Is like a nightmare
Everything I fear
Evil clowns
Lifelong enemies
And hating family
All my darkest memories
Relived before my eyes

In both nightmare and dreamscape
I fight through and wander towards
The point that connects them both
A large pool of glistening water
The window to the realm
Of the living

Looking into the water
I see what's left of myself
A body in the shower
Running down the drain
Bleeding from my wrists
Is the crimson rain

I stare into my own eyes
They stare back
Devoid of life
As I wonder why
I ended my life
Tears form from my eyes
My life was awful at best
But afterlife looks even worse
And I now realize
That I never wanted to die

But it's too late
I chose my fate
The afterlife is pulling me back
Undeath is all that matters
Until my spirit finally shatters
