In my opinion, Amy shedding her dress and spreading wings symbolizes her desire to leave her old life behind and start a new life of freedom. Β I can't say I blame her, though...after years of showing affection to Sonic and not receiving it in return, she had finally had enough.
The wings are incredibly detailed and look beautiful. Β The background is lovely as well...it looks so calm and peaceful, yet it contrasts with what's going on here.
