My attempt at a slightly more Leroux Erik, and I think it turned out all right. May go back and colour this one in photoshop if I can be bothered. I am teh epitome of laziness.Related content

*chuckles softly* True. I finally finished the PotO book by Gaston Leroux....I cried when it said Erik was dead.....look I can't help it, he stole my heart when I listened to his music...and when I read about his heartache...it made MY heart ache...*sits on the floor and weeps softly*

I didn't cry at the end of the book. Erik is obviously lovable...pitiable I think would be more appropriate, but, like in the Lon Chaney version, I didn't really feel too much. I was sorry that he died, and it was so cute how excited he was that Christine kissed him, but it's so much better in the Kay version. Have you read "Phantom"? You think you cried at the end of Leroux's novel...

Yes, but have you read Susan Kay's 'Phantom'? I think you'd cry at the end of that. It's just...I dunno. It bothered me for days afterward. You get to know the character so well, and when he dies, you feel the loss.
