Description
Basically had to either do a stipple drawing or contour drawing for art class. I really didnt like contour so being an idiot I opted for stipple. Let's just say my wrist and hand have not hurt this much in so long! I am so glad that is over and I am never doing stipple ever again!Done with Micron pens

Thats what the pic is off lol. Thats why I had probs with the white hair. I like this little clown though cause it's really cute. Live clowns bug the crap out of me.

I remember doing stipple work. It's tedious and painstaking and I usually gave up about halfway through. You did a great job on this and exhibited much more patience than I have for this kind of work. An excelent job on giving the sense of differing colors by altering the density of the dots!

Thank you very much.Yeah the colors gave me probs, I even omitted the gold design that was all over the dark green because I was never going to be able to do that on top of the rest cause it was so reflective. I can say I never want to do stipple again but glad I finished this one.

oh, i bless the day when my art teacher decided that he would never make us stipple. though my commercial art teacher seems to have missed the memo. *dies* my hand hurts just looking at this. it's awesome, though, you pulled off the technique well.

Thank you. It only hurt though cause I crammed seven hours of work into the night before it was due. If it's done over several days with breaks in between work it shouldnt be that bad.

You've done it too? I about died when she said an 8x10 pic cause I had never done it before but knew it probably took a long time. My wrist still aches whenever I look at the pic lol. I never want to do it again

I liked pointillism in class, I used to go numb listening to a song and then all seemed so peaceful... I like the way your clown turned out with this technique! You really thought well of the shading and the space between the dots. Well done!

thank you so much. I never tried the technique before and the teacher said she didnt want any imperfections with the dots so I was freaking the whole time. I think she's far sighted though because there are a lot of tails and stuff on the dots and she didnt notice

Pointillism! Haha, your dot art looks awesome (I remember dot art being very time consuming, and I usually got frustrated and gave up before I got anything done). You did a very good job with the tonal range as well!

The hair didnt turn out good though because I really couldnt figure out how to do white clear hair in black dots. I just got so frusterated that I tackled over halfof it in one night because I wanted to be able to say I finished it(and have the excuse to never do it again)

Stipple is the dotting effect. Hope your teacher doesnt have you do this cause it took me about 13 hours. and my wrist aches every time I look at it lol
