These two, in my eyes, represent the two paths Naruto takes in all the Fanfiction I've read up til now, either he stays on the path of light or strays to the dark side!!!

In the final fight of RTN it shows why he get the sharingan I won't say any thing incase ya haven't seen the movie yet. Hope it helps though.

Ok well my understanding is that Tobi/Obito/Madara whatever you like to call him possesed him qnd scince he only had the sharingan in the one eye that's the only eye Menma had it in but I haven't seen the whole movie just the final fght scene so I can't say in total certainty

I haven't watched the movie, but from what I've heard, Menma looks the way he does because Tobi/Obito is possessing him, and once he become unpossessed, he looked virtually identical to Naruto. Just saying what I've heard.
