I really love her hair; the color and the style is flows/hangs in is really nice too. (isn't her hair blonde? I don't know, as I have yet to pick up the latest installment of Final Fantasy as I think XII kinda ruined my playing enjoyment) Otherwise, I think you did a really nice job on this, especially her facial features and those hands! *envious*

Nope, her hair is light pink. I´m sorry you didn´t like XII, I adored the cinematics and the gameplay, but the story... well...
On the other hand, I LOVED FFXIII, especially the sweet story and the powerful, strong-willed women!! (no wonder why I adored Claymore, right?) highly recommended!!
I´m sooo happy you liked my work!!! thank you so much my friend!!

Hmm, light pink, now that you mention, that does seem familiar in the ads I've seen in the magazines and such. A fellow co-worker of mine owns the game and he said he would let me borrow it, cause he thinks I need to play it. I didn't much care for the changed battle system in XII honestly, though X and X-2 (which I still haven't beaten yet!) isn't much better because that whole grid system thing just confuses me. The main battle OS in the games has been a big issue for me, apparently, at least until I get the hang of it. So currently X, X-2 and XII are on my shelf collecting dust. I enjoy the line of FF games for the storyline, the music and the character's and their own stories dealing with the whole plot; VIII and IX are my favorites by far, both for various reasons. VIII has an awesome, original storyline, excellent characters and wonderful music, but the crappiest ending of all time! And IX has nice in-depth characters and music and another original storyline, but a way better ending IMO. *steals Squall away for herself*

to be honest, I never played IX nor XI. I fell in love with the series with VIII, although I could never finish it. I adored X, unfortunately I went lazy on those days and allowed a boyfriend to finish it for me, while I just enjoyed the cutscenes. X2 I think it´s the first one I finish by myself, and I just loved it, in the idea that it wasn´t precisely an interesting storyline, music and so forth, but loved the idea of "girls just wanna have fun", so I enjoyed it anyways. XII... well... I liked the gameplay, I did, although didn´t quite enjoy the game.
XIII, well... to be honest, it took me a while to get used to the linear game (you know FF´s characteristics is that you can travel the world all around... XIII lost that part), and something I adored (and my brother hated) was the thousands of beautiful cutscenes. He said you could get lost in them, instead of actually playing. The story is very good, I really liked it, and the end is kinda happy and sad... but what really made me fall for them was, you know, THE POWERFUL AND STRONG WILLED WOMEN in there!! there´s actually a CLAIRE there (NOW I´m getting worried, I just worship three different claires! XDD [from resident evil, claymore and now FFXIII!!!] I might as well name my daughter after them!! XDDD) besides, of all the final fantasy games I´ve played, this is the gameplay I´ve adored the most, very vivid and active, very heart-pumping!

And if he lets you, please let me know your first impression of it!!! promise me?
You´ll love X, it´s beautiful, the only thing I didn´t add to me, was the mistress-in-distress thing that still lingers there. That´s why I enjoyed X2 far more, and I think I´ve already told you why I fell for XIII.
Indeed, I didn´t finish VIII because I got stuck in a place, and then lost the intention. But my bro has it, so I might as well finish it sometime.

Hah! So I asked him last night and the answer I got was, "Oh... I'm not sure if I still have it, I think I may have already traded it in, I'll look for it and see." Dweeb. (LOL) Lulu is my favorite X character! I want a moogle doll like hers! XD
It was the same reason it took me so long to beat VIII as well; got stuck on the final boss battle on Disc 3 and got frustrated beyond comparison. Once I got around it, well it only took me like another year or two to finally beat it! Ironically though, once you beat it the first time, the second, third and fourth times you can't help but wonder, "Why the heck did it take so long; this is a piece of cake!"
I have found that one thing that helps me along (and helps me discover the true abilities of the game) are walkthroughs. I know a lot of people are against them cause its like cheating, but they are very helpful, and can help you pick up the useful things you'll need later on that you may overlook if playing on your own. (FF series is notorious for their "puzzles" concerning the game, characters, weapons, etc.)

And if you liked Lulu, you´d love the other character in FFX2! I can almost bet!!
Umh... and what´s a walthrough?

You mean Pain? I didn't play X-2 long enough to really get to know her character or to enjoy her for her sense of worth to the game and herself.
A walkthrough is basically a step-by-step guide to the game. It helps you through the game by giving you hints, tips and a general outline of where to go, or what to get or how to make the game a little less stressful. They do come in handy, and I enjoy using them. XD

You're welcome!
Pain seemed like a well-rounded character, I just didn't get far enough into the game to really get to know her, or discover her strengths and positive reinforcements she brings to the group. But I will eventually.

I need to drag out FFX first and finally defeat the final boss battle, but I am having quite the difficult time achieving that particular goal it seems. I may have to restart the game (use a walkthrough from the beginning this time) and go from there. (As for playing FFXIII, not anytime soon since my dense-minded coworker got rid of his copy, darn him! May as well just go rent it.)

Umh... renting it is not recommended, since it took me more than 80 hours to finish it... then again, I just enjoy to walk around the place and find some good stuff, besides powering up, of course. And I´m sorry I can´t be of no use with FFX, it wasn´t me the one to finish it

well I am not sure I want to drop $60 on a game I don't have a lot of interest in, so if I rent it at least (at first) and I enjoy it, I may go buy it otherwise. Otherwise paying a couple of bucks a time or two to rent it rather than shelling out so much (that could go towards my college tuition) is a far better deal. I think.

Lol, guess I have bought enough mistakes before to learn. (Soul Caliber IV--I didn't buy it, it was a gift--was so dumb and boring, I hated it. But I couldn't trade it in either, cause they didn't want to give me anything for it. So glad I didn't buy it and waste the money!)

I don't know, maybe always learning from our mistakes would make life boring. guess thats why we end up making so many in our lifetimes. Boring is bad. Lol

Umh... no. I´ll go more into the idea that we keep on making the same mistakes because we´re too afraid of doing otherwise, of trying some new things, even when logic tells us the new way it´s better, we like to sit comfortably in our mistakes. They are, after all, something we already know.

Hmm, thats a good observation, one I hadn't thought of before, but it makes a lot of sense. Its like change, things that are different, we are afraid of those things, and lash out or refuse to acknowledge them. Great perspective!

denebtenoh In reply to JL-Dexter [2010-08-08 19:48:28 +0000 UTC]
Yeah! exactly like those!!
And that perspective I´ve noticed it with myself before. When I make I mistake, and then realize why I´m making it again, I seat and ask myself why... but HONESTLY why... and most of the time I come with that answer.
Because it frightens me... not knowing what exactly would happen

No greater time than the present to face your fears. XD But yeah, I understand: its all we know, all we have probably ever known, and the unknown, results of such actions, still remains a barrier to us. (At least until we try it find that, "Hey, thats not so bad after all!"
