Description
I did this one quite some time ago,left buried deep down dome of those dusty boxes.
I thought i could just submit it, with some color tweaks and voila!
a monochrome tank girl.
Don't know if the name suits, it's jes a word that kept popping up
in my head while i was doing it.
At the time i only wanted to design a character, obviously a girl,
loaded with some nifty gadgets. Not quite there huh?

It's just when i finished it, that's the only relevant name i can think for her.

Is that Tagalog? If so, did you learn it recently, or were raised speaking it? I see a lot of pple on deviantart who speak Tagalog, or atleast I think it's Tagalog.

Oh it's not Tagalog. It's actually Malay, although we do share some common words.
We are in the same archipelago anyway, Malaysia and Philipines.
And yes, it's my mother's tongue. It's an easy language to learn actually.

There is definitely a lot to love here. Overall, it just stuns me how overwhelmingly professional it looks. The details, shading, and texture are all top notch. I really like the contrast between her monochromatic color scheme, and the two tones of the background. Someone mentioned her proportions in an earlier comment, but personally, I find it very refreshing to see a character done in a manga style that doesn't have freakishly long, and slender limbs. She looks very natural, calm, and most importantly -- believable. Thumbs up to this one. You did an excellent job.

Very good lineart- neat and clean and very fresh-looking, as if swift and easy-going. There are plenty of details but they look clear and very netural, quite realistic. Interesting character and suit. The background is simplistic- but efficient, well done
