I drew a sailor fuku version of Berthier for the Switching Sides Collaboration, and also to do something semi relaxing inbetween commissions and other chaotic projects. sailorsenshi.deviantart.com/joβ¦Apparently I missed the deadline, which is fine. For some crazy reason I thought it was extended till the 25th. Silly me. BUT HEY ITS DONE!
It's not as balance of a picture as I would like, but hey it works. XD One of the things that has always bothered me about Berthier is that she has a lock of braided hair against her forehead. I decided to "update" her look by putting that braided lock above her head (like a crown) so it didnt stick out near as much.

How would she have become a Senshi?Β
She would need to be the holder of a Sailor Crystal-grade Star-Seed, the Senshi-incarnation of a celestial body (star/sun, planet/dwarf planet, moon, asteroid, etc.).Β

This picture was part of a role reversal project. Like...an alternative reality where all the bad guys (beryl, glactica, Pharoh 90, etc) are the good guys, and all the heros/heroine's (sailor moon, sailor cosmos, etc) were the villains. They don't need to have a planet/Sailor Crystal to draw power from because it's hypothetical....and just a goofy project to try out. XD

In the Sailor Moon series, Bertheir is one of the Spectre Sisters (part of the Dead Moon Clan) so in my crazy hypothetical universe Bertheir draws her sailor crystal power from a small ice planet or moon (if we go with the dead moon theme). Or can be a made up heavenly body like Aluminium siren/iron mouse in the star series.
Β Bertheir would represent a "Sailor Mercury" character in the Sailor Spectre Quartet Sisters.
odd trivia that I found online: Berthier is named for the mineral berthierite , an iron sulfide.
