It's been a while since I made a dragon.
I was working on it every now and then during my sleepless nights. This is one of the most time-consuming paintings, since the detail was optimized for a large size print (5000x2500 px), so some things like the decoration on the armor are not visible here. For the head I used as a base a raw 3D model of a dragon head that I had created in ZBrush ([link] ), and then I shaded each scale individually, like everything else. I hope you like it Made in Photoshop.

This is just absolutely fantastic! Especially the details on the dragons! I can almost feel the atmosphere from the picture, and imagine the dragon's head come closer and closer... Wonderful job!

Woot for ZBrush! Do you have a full dragon model that you'd like to see rigged and animated? I love your dragons, they are gorgeous. I'd like to rig and animate a dragon for a demo reel but don't have a model that I like. I'm picky, I know, but...gotta have a great Dragon! ^_^ Credit is absolutely a given. ^_^
