Great utilization of contrast and I like the fact that you made the backdrop blurry and the main focus on the ball. The thing that might've made it pop even more is if you left the ball colored. Hope this helps!

great job on this. I especially like the contrast in tone and focus. The only thing I would do to improve this would be to add a border. most work looks unfinished without one. Think of it this way, if you were presenting your work to a major company or art dealer, wouldt you frame it or at least have it matted? It makes the work look much more presentable. Great job!

Super shot... The contrast is darn near perfect. The blurriness works fine for me. See that little bit of "not" blurriness to the right of the ball? I'd kill that and take the blurriness right up to the edge of the ball. I assume you used a filter in photoshop? Beeaaauuuutiful pic.

I know I said I wouldn't really bother with looking at photography, but this one really stood out to me with its stark contrast. On high rez I would say you may have relied just a little bit too much on the filters, but on low rez the over filters really works. I'm only saying about filters because the basket ball really looks photoshopped, and instead of focusing on filters, perhaps just focusing on the "curve" and "levels" instead. but this is actually a really cool image
