although i don't want to be cocky, the pen tool seemed like the pen tool would have been the best choice to draw the ponies out. illustrator is amazing for making vectored outlines.

Inkscape is free though so... its better... its a great program and its what I
draw with and thats not going to change.

There's also the expand option under object which can take those lines and clear up the squared ends, allowing for more organic looking lines that are relative to the strokes used to draw the ponies in the show.

although i just put in one line and stretch it out to the edge of the corner!
