Bauk is legendary Slavic creature,When children will not sleep,grandmother told them the story of the Bauk and children shut up,but not sleep.before bedtime my grandmother always told me the story of the Bauk and I am greeted each morning in fear :0

All my grandmother ever scared me with was stories about bedbugs, and that was bad enough. I love the contrasts you have here - the warm colors of the sleeping child against the cold, creepy blue green of the monster, the baboon jaws with their fierce fangs and almost-human incisors, and the odd beauty of the masklike face.
