Yes, the book has some outstanding moments, no doubt about it. Especially when it came to Dorne chapters.
Luckily, I'm not watching tv show for a couple of years now, so I really can't say nothing about it. But I believe you that they manage to screw everything up...the same reason I quit with GOT for good.

Well.. to be honest I tends to make a more neutral view in reviews XD I like to pick both good and bad aspects of everything (a show, a book, a game etc...).
Concerning GoT I think that they made some bad choices, others were a bit forced by the fact they had to condensate a book plotline into a tv-show... but they also made also some choices that I feels works very well. Also, they manage to portray some characters that thanks to a very skilled actor-recitation gives much power and energy to a specific character. There are plenty, but among the many one of them is the character of Tywin Lannister... in the tv-show he's really superb and in a way is a more convincing character than the one of the book.

Dunno, honestly.
Last couple of seasons are really insulting my intelligence, cause everything is based on killings, porn, rapes and brutality. Think that in books there's more than just that. IMO there is more quality tv shows to watch and to true enjoy in it (such as Penny Dreadful & True Detective) than GOT. GOT simply became rubbish, and to be honest last two books of ASOIAF don't shine that bright as first three books in the series.
And, since I've met with Steven Erikson and his masterpiece "Malazan Book of the Fallen", I really, really don't care about GRRM and his ASOIAF anymore. GOT even less.

Your style is beautiful, and I like that You don´t draw the charactars from the movies but make Your own picture of them from the books!

Well, I would stick to A Song Of Ice And Fire...GOT is nothing but a commercial tv show based on this magnificent saga, and all my characters are drawn by book description.
And, if they put Doran next year in season 4, you will hear your last name.
