I probably messed up the heights somewhere. Oh well. Yay group picture!
I've had this a while and it was getting irritatingly hard to shade. Hence flats and textures everywhere.

I used these four guys all the time (well until Naoto came along and then I replaced her with Chie) Go A Team!

Naoto! Naoto hasn't joined the team yet (sob why am I so slow in finishing this game) so I'm still sticking to the main team. Main Team rocks!
But even though his MP is awful at the level I have him on, Kanji will always be my favorite spare. <3

well... you've got a sorta indie comic thing going on. i think that's what i really like about it. and i think that's why it works well for these guys.

Really like the poses here, and the textures just make the image and colors "pop!"
And I have to agree with domo-dono that Chie's pose is great. There's so much personality in just her standing there. Yukiko's got it, too, though she's a little more reserved. (I mean, not really - she's got a wild streak, too, but not exactly like Chie's hit-or-miss attitude.)
Looking more closely, there's something very...Japanese...about Yukiko's stance. Not sure what it is...the primness/propriety, maybe? With just that little hint of smile? Sort of like your typical shy Japanese girl. I like it!

Whenever I draw things, I start with the image I see most clearly in my head...and in the case of these four, you could say that first image was of Chie standing like that. And Yukiko! In many ways she acts like a foil to Chie and vice versa, so I wanted her pose to be something of a contrast, quieter and such.
I've always liked the way you described her in previous conversations, so I always keep the keywords "Japanese girl" in mind. Bound by tradition (and possibly that stereotype) as she is, I think she'd be adept at conveying non-verbal messages in the smallest of gestures.

I always think of Yukiko as being quieter and more reserved, too...though there is that moment in the tent where she mentions smothering Hanako, not to mention that laugh....

I guess I got used to drawing Yosuke. 'cause... y'know... hanasato... XDD <3 But yeah, I had a tough time drawing him too when I started out. Just keep drawing! You'll eventually get the hang of it.
