Turns out all I needed to get my motivation back was a hella difficult, time consuming and above all fun collab with the awesome DarkAngelofDawn , and here it is. Took us(mostly me actually) forever to finish it, but it was definitely worth it I think ;;Learned a lot about water primarily here, also moons cause I've definitely improved since the last time I drew one holy s hit and thAT'S VERY GOOD.
Also decided to convert Skolopender's front pair of legs to actual equine legs, instead of just canine legs with hooves. It looks a lot better now. In this I guess he's trying to impress by hovering above the water; I figured it'd be cute cause of their massive size difference ;; idfk what I'm doing tbh
I had the original idea, drew the sketch, colored Skolopender and did the background, as well as adding the final touches.
And my collab companion here did the lineart, colored Terran and shaded beautifully.
WE MUST DO THIS AGAIN.

etrfgyhuklok I'm so proud of us. never have I had a lineart looking so good as this here. but god I can't stress that background enough I just love it! and the dramatic light just makes the whole thing <3 I could stare at it the whole day. and the water looks so good omg

I am getting a headache trying to understand your signature. I like looking at historical and modern weapons and to a lesser degree emotional weapons. I like to know how you mean art is a weapon, please?

Well, it's not that much about art itself being a weapon as your imagination being its ammunition. It sounds a bit weird if you don't read the entire thing as a whole. But yeah, I do consider art a "weapon", though you know, not as a gun or a knife. Weapons are also used for self defense even though people seem to use them extremely recklessly nowadays, and art has definitely been a way to sorta defend myself the past few years. It gives me something to hide behind, something to define me. Instead of being out there as just me and feeling vulnerable, I bring art as my weapon of sorts, so I feel safer around others. Not to mention art can be used as more than a stress relief or decoration, art is used to protest and question and all the synonyms. There's art about our society and art about humanity, which sort of acts as a weapon towards our ignorance by being clear. After all, a picture speaks a thousand words.
Then there's the ammunition part, as a lack of imagination not to mention motivation means a lack of art, so I guess in a sense it's our ammunition as artists. If art is our weapons then our imagination must be our ammunition
It's a bit hard to explain? It's a quote, so I'm not 100% sure how it was really meant, but that's what I get out of it at least. Allthough I don't really get it completely I have some kind of understanding of it, it means a lot to me for various reasons.
