Description Almost 2 AM. Gonna have to make it real quick and go to bed soon. In today's news, I was busy with school, zoology and Maths homework. Hopefully, the buttload of Math stuff I did this evening (and night) means that I won't have to do as much for Thursday and Friday. But we'll see. Anyway, I'll get more sleep now than for Monday and Tuesday... so

Anyhoo (no pun intended... okay, totally intended), today's prompt was "Escape" and after a short while of thought, I was reminded by Ori and the Blind Forest. If you're a gamer and haven't played this game, you should. It's not just a game, it's a masterpiece. The storyline is adorable, emotional and deep, and the gameplay is engaging. I'll be completely honest that I haven't finished the game because I don't own it myself, I've only tried it out at my gamer-bro's, so I only managed to finish, like, a little less than half of the game. But it was all very interesting, albeit a little challenging. Out of the escape sequences, I've only managed to finish the Ginso Tree one and this drawing is trying to portray that very escape. Here we see Ori escaping from the flooding Ginso Tree, with Kuro circling around the tree and trying to take Ori down.

I kept the sketch layer for the first time during Inktober for a more dramatic effect... I even emphasised some pencil lines to make it as dramatic as this sequence was in the game. It was a very frustrating "boss fight", but it really satisfied me when I finished this sequence. I feel that I've also improved on my drawing speed a bit... even though the details in this drawing aren't exactly accurate and true to the game, I still managed to pretty much portray what I had in mind... and I managed to finish it all at school! It's really satisfying... now, if there hadn't been so much Maths homework, I would probably have gotten a decent night's sleep for the approaching school day, too...

Anyhoo, hope you enjoy!

Thanks, and I'm glad you think so! Even though I, myself, feel that I totally suck at line dynamics and that I should practise it more

Ori and the Blind Forest is really a masterpiece, story-wise, music-wise and art-wise. The symbolism there is great as well. I certainly hope you can get your hands on this game at some point. ;w;
