The combination of grandeur and grunge is quite compelling, and visually intriguing, but it distresses me that so many beautiful old buildings are falling into decay and ruination. I wish I had a bottomless pot of money to put people to work restoring and safeguarding these endangered treasures.

It's err... Just a photo. Some basic adjustments to white balance and contrast in Lightroom but that's about it really.

This is gorgeous. Everything from the swirling composition to the subtle colour variations are simply phenomenal. It evokes a very nostalgic, but kind of creepy feeling, very appropriate for Halloween season!

I doubt it sadly, the rest of the building is in disrepair and in some parts falling down. It'd be cheaper to demolish it and build something else on the land in it's place, which is unfortunately the way these things seem to go.
