I'm extremely in love with this name.... This all started like 20 years ago when I met a woman named "Jeune" ("young" in French?)... But time kept pushing me and I eventually fell madly in love with the American name "June". These things have no easy explanation except that I am very in love with this name now...

I don't really remember, but you go into "Admin Area" and then you go into Members and you gotta turn on that people can join... It's really unintuitive and has been a while since I've done this...

I think you do something like Admin Area | Manage Members | Then you pick "members" on the left and then you set Join Requests to all automatically approved.
It's very confusing how they did this and helps to have 2 accounts so you can test stuff out.
