Hey guys!! To celebrate the announcement of Half-Life : Alyx I drew this picture of our two heroes. Even though the game won't have Gordon in it, I still ship them. I am so excited to learn more about Alyx' past and how she became who she is today. Alyx is my most favorite female gaming character. She is so cool, cute and just a tough woman. I really would like to be like her

I LOVE IT GREAT WORK, KIND OF SAD WE WON'T SEE HIM IN IT FIGHTING WITH HER BUT I LOVE HER CHARACTER, SHE'S A GREAT ROLL MODEL FOR WOMEN EVERYWHERE. I SHIP THEM...I FELL NOT NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE DO ART ABOUT THEM THOUGH.

IKR?? I only have a mini job (about 450β¬ each month) and it seems so impossible to get one.. first thing my mom said when she read the news is that she wants to buy me a VR set so badly but we just don't have enough money. (Plus I would not even take such an expensive gift from her anyways) but it really kinda sucks that basically Half-Lifes' future is depending on this game. And I am very afraid that people will hate the game (expectations, VR only etc...)

I totally get what you mean! It looks like Valve Index is pretty overpriced (in my opinion). I heard that the major difference is the movement tracking or something like that. But still, 1400 bucks is a monthly income here in Germany. Plus at this time there are little to no VR games I would want to play. HL:Alyx is the only one I am interested in right now 
Valve basically said that Half-Lifes' future depends on HL:Alyx. But I can't imagine that soooo many people will buy it, since it is VR only. I really hope that Valve continues with Half-Life. And I mostly hope that, if there will be HL3, it is NOT VR only...

that would be absolutely terrifying. I mean, why can't Valve see that there are so many fans who hoped for Half-Life to continue? We always sticked to Valve and that would be it? They kinda do see it because they made HL: Alyx but on the other hand it is like a punch in the face for fans that can't just buy a headset for 1400 bucks. With the years going by, the Half-Life fanbase always seemed to me like the Rebels from Half-Life. I mean, we were also kind of active in the underground, hoped for Gordon to return and Valve beeing like Dr. Breen and his Combine-army. And now Valve tries to seperate the fanbase, or more like striking us down to wait for people that have VR to literally save us (or the Half-Life universe) Sorry if it sounds weird or confusing, but that is how I see it XD

BUT! If you want to check it out, I can recommend a finance book that helped me save enough for a trip to Iceland: The barefoot investor. :D Some parts are specifically for Australia, but most of the organizing tips work for every county (and it works for student income (in my case) too!)
