So, I have a bit of an embarrassing thing that my friends like to tease me about.
That being, I'm a pretty big fan of this adorable girl on youtube who plays the ukulele and sings cool songs, Julia Nunes.
I'm kind of losing shame for it though, so thats good.

Anywho, this past weekend I went to Rochester to visit my long time friend Daniel and his lovely girlfriend Jess, and while I was there we went to High Fidelity to see Julia Nunes perform. The proceeds of this concert went to the education and support of children in Ghana, and it was just all around a great show. Im now a fan of two other local artists in Rochester, so it pretty much made my weekend.

I also got to meet her, and she was incredibly sweet, just a genuine musician and person, so my fangirl status is pretty much still just as bad, if not worse than before.
I gave her this drawing that I had done a while before and she put it up on her myspace profile. Pretty flattering for me.

Yep, I'm a geek.

Thanks so much for the feedback. I was pretty pleased with it for the most part, but the most rewarding part of it was just seeing how much she appreciated it. What a sweetie.

No problem! I'm glad she liked it so much, and I'm always happy to find fantastic art (and of musicians that I listen to, as well!) :3
