Abilities: Ella is a mage, and since infancy has had an incredible aptitude for healing magic. She is also exceptional at identifying flora and fauna, creating health potions and remedies from them, as well as being able to concoct vaccines and antidotes to various poisons. She likes reading about different sorts of magic, however, and thus knows a few basic elemental spells. She is also a very good cook, although she seems to have no regard for what is considered normal food. On another note, she stares at people a lot, and even grown, hardened adults have felt a chill from her unblinking gaze. She knows quite a bit about necromancy, voodoo, and other darker forms of magic, but she claims that she has never practiced any of it; that may change during her time at the academy.

Appearance: A tiny speck of a girl with the distinctive ears of an elf, Ella has always been someone who looks fairly harmless and much younger than her age due to her elven blood. She has reddish-blonde hair. She has a somewhat creepy habit of staring at people; her large green eyes seem to penetrate into one's very soul, and despite her non-threatening appearance, looking into her eyes for too long will certainly give one the chills. She wears whatever her older brother buys for her, and her favorite piece of clothing is an old coat that seems to be in dire need of a bit of proper mending instead of the shoddy, patchy repair job that her brother attempted. Her face usually defaults to a neutral expression with an empty, wide-eyed gaze that seems to creep people out after a while, but it isn't as if she is completely expressionless. She tends to be more on the mild side when showing her emotions, but she does show them and rarely hides what she is feeling unless she absolutely needs to(for example, a game of poker). This becomes apparent when blood is shed, because her expression becomes similar to a lovestruck girl who has just been proposed to. And thus, we go to her personality...

Personality: Despite her cute and childish appearance, Ella has a very strange and downright creepy personality. For one, she loves the sight of blood, gore, and disease. If she sees a bloodbath so gruesome that even a grown man would turn his gaze in disgust, Ella will look like she was just given free chocolate. Now, the strange part about this is that she never causes these acts of bloodletting and carnage, and would really never hurt a fly as per the standard for healer sorts; the little offensive magic she knows is mostly to ease the burden of various everyday tasks, such as fire magic for cooking and ice magic for preserving things and chilling drinks, and so on and so forth. She does, however, always seem to be around to watch fights that break out. While this is useful in the aftermath when they'll most likely need some healing, it still doesn't change the fact that the expression she has every time someone gets hurt is a bit unsuitable for someone who looks as unassuming as Ella. If a wound isn't life threatening or debilitating in any way, she will tend to take her sweet time healing her target.

Ella doesn't speak much unless prompted, but if prompted properly, she can go on for hours about subjects she is knowledgable about. Medicine, cooking, and magic are her three choice subjects; she talks about her traveling older brother now and then as well. She is also, in a slightly disturbing way, very knowledgable about black magic, such as necromancy and voodoo, though she claims not to practice it. She speaks in a way that can be assumed as frank, and tends not to have a filter when she speaks, usually keeping her typical wide-eyed neutral expression unless she isn't feeling particularly neutral. However, she is not beyond lying if she needs to; she is oddly good at poker due to her ability to keep calm.

On a side note, Ella will eat almost anything, as long as she knows it won't kill her. Ants? Sure! Tree bark? Full of fiber! Bull penis? Okay! She can, however, prepare even the most cringe-worthy ingredients into a perfectly palatable(and safe to eat) dish, as long as you don't ask what's in it.

Background: Ella's father passed away in an accident when she was a toddler, and her mother remarried about a year or so afterwards to a man who already had a son from a previous marriage. Thus, Ella gained an older half-brother. She adores him and looks up to him, but hates being scolded by him; he tends to be somewhat doting, so that rarely becomes an issue. Ella used to attend a girls' primary school specializing in magic before she graduated, and it was around the time of her graduation that her brother left to go backpacking around the world. He sends her postcards and packages every now and then detailing his adventures and sending her gifts, and eventually hopes to attend the same academy as her when his wanderlust subsides.

Likes: Meat, gore, blood, violence, healing, medicine, dark magic, horror stories, reading, useless trivia, staring at people until they're uncomfortable, anything edible, skirts.
