My two phoenix characters, Caliburn on the left side, and Excalibur on the right.
ZOMG, I LOVE drawing these two! I have had Excalibur for awhile, but I haven't finalized her until now. These two sisters are my favourite characters to draw, so this has to be my favourite picture to date (with Qortesque in a close second.^^)
Caliburn and Excalibur are the different names for the sword that King Arthur owned, though, after some time, Caliburn became a lengendary sword that was more evil than good, and the River Spirit gave Arther the sword Excalibur to balance it out as it's holy counterpart.
Anyway, the colors on this came out JUST right, and they are very very very vibrant IRL.
Acrylic, Watercolor, and Faber-Castell, on 9'' by 11'' bristol.^^
