Part 1 of a commission I am doing for a friend, which will consist of three paintings representing the acts of the novel Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.Those familiar with the novel will recognize the major events of Act 1: the pouring of Rearden Metal, the John Galt Line, the building of Rearden's bridge, and the burning of Wyatt's oil fields.
