it looks like a glynnia with some bluring trans. this last is flattening out the colours which gives a certain feeling. i like the simplicity + the composition/ placement of the center. maybe to improve there can be some different way of dealing with glynnia with less blur to see more detail. maybe radial? then it might come alive more. as for the whole i might sugest a final trans like curl to bend the total a bit more so it becomes more exiting to watch. overall its a good presentation of glynnia with a nice render and good colouring (it suits the fractal)

I love the composition and I think it would work wonderfully as a background...I can see it being the cover of a book or something. As a fractal, it's not terribly creative or novel (easily recreated in 2 minutes). I think some texture or repetition of the fractal inside the square would help that...perhaps you could do something to highlight the edges, especially where the square gets cut to the middle. Another possibility would be to mess with the square so it's not exactly a square shape, maybe throw in some hyperbolic or ngon.

I know this! glynnia with blur, right?
well i didn't know this can be categorized as a critique or not, but i want to tell you something about glynnia.
the secret to work with glynnia is to decrease the size of glynnia, flip it, and don't move it too much from the center. the rest is for you to play. whether you want to play with blur, or any other variation. experiment is the key.

you're right about the glynnia base but not blur

Awesome. Monochrome looks indeed very good! The ring is placed perfectly. I love how the left side is lighter and bigger and contrasting that the right side is smaller but more detailed. Perfectly balanced
