Doctor Who Companions: Ian ChestertonI just have to say this: I love Ian. Of the original three companions, Ian is by far my favorite. Not only was he kind of a buddy to the First Doctor, he was just plain awesome. If there had to be action in the episode, Ian was probably doing something daring and action-ey. (Lets just say the guy is pretty good looking to boot.) So there you have it: the coolest science teacher before Bill Nye.
