Description Inostratsus, the Heart of Earth

Height: 40 meters
Length: 90 meters
Mass: 20,000 metric tons

Homeworld: Earth

Quardant Activity: Milky Way Galaxy

Threat Level: Immediate Vicinity

Notice: Despite passive nature, Inostratsus is within the protection of her much more aggressive mate Gorgonato who has been determined to be a much greater threat than her. Thus containment and separation of him has been determined before confronting Inostratsus

Containment Procedure/Methods: If necessary, Inostratsus may be presumably contained and/or neutralized via sufficient armaments capable of penetrating her thick hide

Bio:

As the mighty Gorgonato rose from his deep slumber so too did Inostratsus. Awakening underneath the area currently known as London, Inostratsus marched her way through Europe and across the Atlantic ocean; battling everything from the British Armada to the Royal Navy and Air Force until finally reaching North America, more specifically Washington DC. It was here that she was reunited with Gorgonato after their millennia’s of hibernation and was here where the two fought against the planet destroyer Destrophus and successfully drove him back into space. Since then, the two have rarely been seen without the other.

Inostratsus is Gorgonato’s mate and consort but above all else, she is his love. Displaying a strong protective instinct over her and any area she is presently residing (some animal conservation activists have even suggested this may expand to the entire Northern and Southern Americas, labeling it as his territory). Gorgonato is willing to do anything for her, attacking anything remotely threatening to her well being without a moment’s hesitation either demolishing it under his claws or merely chasing it out of the area. She in turn has always been there for him, nursing his wounds after battle and traversing the oceans and inlands to bring him food.

Inostratsus is the more tolerant of human kind between her and Gorgonato and despite their assaults against them she has never been observed retaliating in any form. That being said, Inostratsus is by no means a friend of humanity, though she is not particularly aggressive to them either, unlike her mate who is more than willing to destroy entire communities if provoked. She is more than happy just staying away from people and hunting the various animals in the areas the two traverse.

Despite her being labeled as a serious threat to humanity, it has been determined that Inostratsus may be essential in keeping her mate in line. Without her strong bond and companionship, it is widely theorized that Gorgonato would be a much larger threat than he is now (and possibly vice versa). The day would come however when the two’s bond would truly be tested................

Abilities/Aspects:
- Powerful set of jaws capable of rendering steel with ease
- Poisonous bite (poison is stronger than her mates)
- Moderate resistance to conventional weaponry
- Strong borrower capable of tunneling with moderate speed
- Has the genetic DNA of almost all forms of life on Earth
- Strong swimmer

Main Storyline - Angelus Rises: The Heart and Soul of Earth

It had been two years since the planet destroyer, Destrophus, had come to Earth hoping to devour the planet. Though he was successfully driven away by the combined might of Gorgonato and Inostratsus, humanity had not taken too kindly to their newly awakened residence.

This was mostly felt in the North and South America where the two had stubbornly taken residence and boisterously entered towns and cities to either search for some form of sustenance, or for what most could only view as enjoyment. The United States armed forces desperately attempted time and again to exterminate the two creatures but with only a meager handful of options formulated to combat the two they were either at most nothing more than deterrents, keeping them away from any major populated areas or worse fuel for Gorgonato’s rage which came to destructive boiling points whenever his mate was harmed during one of these assaults. It was becoming apparent that if life for humanity was ever to return to normal, than the creatures would have to be dealt with in some form. A solution to this problem eventually arrived in the most unlikely of places.

While humanity attempted to deal with Gorgonato and Inostratsus on land, the sky had once again become a buzz of activity. Another creature had entered Earth’s orbit almost as mysteriously as Destrophus had previously done and was circling the planet in a gleaming ball of white light which obscured its true form from view. Regardless, its presence was not taken too kindly by humanity which viewed it as a similar threat to Earth and when the creature eventually breached the planet’s atmosphere near Seattle, Washington and revealed itself to humanity, an all out aerial assault quickly commenced.

The armored leviathan easily laid waste to many of the jets and aircrafts which targeted it. But when it was finally able to land, it immediately found itself engaged by a nearly overwhelming militia of tanks, naval crafts and soldiers who were ready to defend their homes from this new alien monstrosity. Once again the creature decimated every assault made against it, largely keeping on the defensive but appeared to be growing weary of doing so and slowly loosing face. It was then that a vibrant pulse of energy rattled the area between the creature and the army. Both sides looked up in witness of an enormous spacecraft, an elegantly magnificent machine that defied all modern laws of science which held a crew that had been observing the entire event from space and was adamant in stopping it.

The craft landed in an empty parking lot near the Seattle Needle and revealed themselves to the humanity, quickly demanding to know why they were attacking the creature whose name they revealed was Angelus. When no one answered, their captain, Csar Sormin, singled out none other than Lieutenant Luke Fenrix from the crowd of soldiers, asked him his name, and angrily demanded once again why they were attacking Angelus. When Luke nervously answered that Angelus had been perceived as a danger to Earth like the last monster to visit their world, Sormin callously asked to be taken to humanities leader.

After a few minor complications with said request, Csar Sormin and a handful of other crewmen from the Oddyseum were able to gain a hearing with the UN to reveal their purpose for coming to Earth. The Oddyseum was an exploration vessel which journeyed about the Universe following the creature, whose name roughly translated in English as Angelus, to discover new life. Hearing from the Oddyseum that Earth had survived an assault from the planet destroyer, Destrophus, Angelus had decided to view the planet herself to see the race of creatures that had managed to do so. Though largely confused by most of Sormin’s explanation of what Angelus was, her purpose and what she meant to the “Children of Angelus” as they liked to be called, the entire UN was at least in agreement that Angelus was not a direct threat to humanity and allowed the creature to view the planet with supervision.

Content with this ruling, Angelus set off to observe the rest of the planet while the Children of Angelus continued to commerce with humanity. Doing so however was met with many restrictions which Angelus found difficult to follow. She was neither allowed to land in any major cities or go past any point which was deemed restricted air space and when she did she was ‘coerced’ by the jets following her to leave the area. Eventually, Angelus decided to return to the Oddyseum when she finally decided that it was far too difficult to observe Earth in such a way. But while she was returning, Angelus witnessed something which caught her interest, the still ruined city of Washington DC and a trail of destruction leading both in and out of it. This pegged her curiosity and when she returned to Csar Sormin she almost immediately asked him of what was the cause of it. When Sormin asked Luke Fenrix (whom he had gotten to know after apologizing to him for his previous aggressive greeting) he told them both of Gorgonato and Inostratsus who were largely responsible for the destroyed city. When Angelus wished to know where the two might be, a government liaison named Tiffany Forge, instructed Sormin to follow her to discover the answer.

Within a conference, Sormin was told by various officials that Gorgonato and his mate had awakened two years ago and attacked Washington and had continued to attack various cities afterwards and that they had been largely unsuccessful in stopping the two. The main purpose of this meeting however; was to ask Sormin if Angelus would be willing to help them get rid of them. Sormin blatantly disapproved of the idea but finally lamented in at least asking Angelus if she would. When told of what humanity desired from her, Angelus was slightly disturbed by the idea, but after hearing two individuals tell them of how the two creatures had taken family members from them (one of which was Mrs. Forge who had lost both her husband and children in the attack on Washington) and remembering the destruction which had befallen the planet’s inhabitants, Angelus herself lamented in helping them.

The next day, Angelus was informed that both Gorgonato and Inostratsus were currently close to St. Paul, Minneapolis and were on the move towards the city. Angelus immediately sped off to confront the two, but before the Oddyseum could bored and do the same, they were confronted by the military under orders that they had not been given clearance to leave and when they attempted to do so any way, were imprisoned until Angelus was done dealing with Gorgonato and Inostratsus.

Meanwhile, Angelus had already arrived within Minneapolis to confront Gorgonato and Inostratsus and before long the two arrived in the area as well. Both Gorgonato and Inostratsus were surprised to see another creature their size but while Inostratsus found it more curious and wished to smell and inspect Angelus, Gorgoanto saw her only as a threat and began to shield his mate from her. But before Angelus could do anything, the military already stationed in the area was given the orders to open fire on the two which immediately through Gorgonato into a rage and (only seeing Angelus in front of him) attacked Angelus. While Angelus put off by the turn of events she immediately took charge of the fight and began to grapple with the behemoth gorgonopsid. Before long Inostratsus joined the fray as well to assist her mate and the three found themselves locked in a pitched battle which quickly exploded into the city.

Back at the military base, Csar Sormin and his crew were becoming increasingly appalled with humanities methods, especially the fact that they were using Angelus for their own selfish purposes. Fortunately they still had one ally on their side. Luke Fenrix, despite his military discipline and several associates telling him otherwise, eventually came to the conclusion that what his government was doing to these peaceful visitors was morally wrong and quietly (at first) surmounted their escape. After dispatching most of the guards and military units between them and their ship, the crew of the Oddyseum (including Luke) was finally able to make their way towards Minneapolis to assist the Angelus and reveal the truth to her.

Unfortunately within the city itself, things weren’t going so well for the Oddysuem’s armored protector.

Having to attend with both Gorgonato and Inostratsus was proving difficult for Angelus as both coordinated their attacks with enough precision to keep her off balance and whenever she attempted to escape to the skies to surmount an aerial assault, Angelus found herself grounded by one or the other before she could even take off. She was beginning to see just why her brother of destruction had given up on Earth to find easier prey. Still, Angelus kept at it with vigor and when the chance finally came, gave a conclusive blast to Gorgonato who fell to ground, dead. But just as Angelus began to revel in her small victory, the Oddyseum finally arrived in the area and revealed that she was being used by humanity to get rid of there own problems. When Angelus turned back to Inostratsus, she saw that the creature had already begun to mourn the death of her fallen mate howling with sadness and loss. All the while she could hear humanity cheering over another creature’s death. Angelus then came to a horrible realization; she had chosen to defend the wrong creatures.

Angelus slowly began to move towards Gorgonato’s fallen body but was immediately taken aback by Inostratsus who attacked with enough rage and fury to level a mountain. Angelus nearly allowed Inostratsus to take her revenge because of her previous actions but quickly came to her senses and swatted the creature away. Coming to Gorgonato’s dead body, Angelus touched his body and when she found a slight glimmer of life still within him began to exude her own around him as Inostratsus warily looked on. After jolting Gorgonato heart to beat once again, she allowed Inostratsus to return to her mate’s side who miraculously opened his eyes and began to move. Gorgonato drearily rose to his feet with his overjoyed mate’s assistance and looked to Angelus who bid them to leave the area. While the two beasts quietly left the city, Angelus set her sights towards humanity whose deceitful actions had not only filled with disgust, but rage which she immediately expressed by destroying the surrounding area while they regretfully watched the entire event transpire.

The next day the United Nations attempted to apologize for their actions and although the Children of Angelus were reluctant to forgive them, Csar Sormin did however relay them a message that Angelus had already done so. However, he also gave everyone another message from Angleus. Both Inostratsus and Gorgonato were under her protection and any outright aggressive acts towards either one by humanity would be reprimanded by her. With this, everyone at the United Nations cowardly gave in to this declaration and said their farewells to the Children of Angelus.

As for Luke Fenrix, after his mustiness actions (which he was sure he would be court-martialed and more than likely imprisoned for) he had not found much to interest in returning to his life on Earth. Though he was welcomed by most of the crew it was not up to them whether or not he could stay. When he asked Csar Sormin for his answer, Sormin gave him a smirk and told him that it wasn’t his decision either and asked Angelus her opinion. Angelus only gave out a bounteous roar of jubilance to the question and with that, Luke was joyously welcomed the Children of Angelus.

This is where the story truly begins.

Equally impressive, I must say, she makes a good counterpart for the big guy, and the story is a good classical formula. It's good to see a kaiju tale that actually gets me fully into it, and that doesn't happen terribly often, I'm looking forward to more.

As I mentioned with Infernus, I have little brain power to spare at the moment so this will have to to do.

In a strange way she reminds me of Jiger. That large head supported by smaller legs and an impressively low slung horizontal body. The similarities end there though. Inostratsus fits her counter part in that they appear to be similar yet different. I assume she's just a tad more stable then he is, being on four legs and having pretty decent sized feet; sacrificing that for power obviously. They are a unique monster couple, I look forward to seeing more of them.

Jiger hmmm? never thought of him before but yeah looking at him and her at the same time I do see that same bodily structure.

And yeah Inostratsus here is diffenetly more stable in mobility than Gorgonato its why she does all the hunting. Also why she can swim, shes like an otter in the water, he's like a sloth, thats pretty much what they seem like on land too. But when they fight together they make a nearly unstoppable force.
