This, my dear friends, is what started it all.My very first sketches of Freeza. Whew.
It was done over one and a half year ago. I had long since forgotten - or, more aptly: I had tried to forget - that I had once been a fan of this Anime called "Dragonball Z", when I stumbled upon the awesomeness that is Team Four Star. (TV-Tropes is to blame here.) I'm not quite sure what possessed me, but suddenly I found myself sitting in front of a piece of copy paper, fanatically scribbling my once favorite character of my once favorite TV-series. I hadn't seriously drawn anything in what seemed like an eternity, I was completely out of practice, I didn't even try to stay close to Toriyama's style and I filled that whole piece of copy paper.
Those sketches are as hilarious as they are horrible, so I thought I'd share.
Took me some time to dig them out, too.The next step was to find out that my brother had a copy of Neko Majin in his bookshelf.
This was the day I became acquainted with Kuriza.
My brain exploded and the remnants are scattered all across my gallery here.
Found some more gems while searching for this paper. You'll see them all too soon...

I always felt there was WAY more character to frieza than what was only shown in the anime. You've done such a wonderful job with all the artwork of him to help satisfy my need for more frieza! And Kuriza for that matter!

I'm loling hardcore at the emote faces XD navel captain and airman Freiza are some grand gigglefests in themselves but I have to say my favorite expression of all is his sheepish/shy face to the far far right of the page <3
Glad to hear that I'm not alone in the whole 'trying to forget my favorite show' thing. Sometimes we wander back to brightest moments of what we loved most in the past <3

Two years ago I was ashamed that I was a Dragonball fan. Now I am ahsamed that I was NOT a Dragonball fan. Times - they change us.

You are mistaken. My style hasn't changed, I just enforced Toriyama's style. Whenever I draw something non-DBZ related, it still looks very much like those scribbles up there. That is, if I ever do draw something that is not DBZ related.
And.... I told you to stop talking this way. That is all.

Yeah, there was a time when staying close to Toriyama's style was easy for me. After all, it was by "copying" him that I gave my first steps at drawing more seriously. But nowadays, it's more complicated

It does not surprise me in the least that TFS brought you back to this point.
Because it's TFS that brought me back into obsessing it again too and thus finding you DAGDHKJSABSDHKN they are just too incredible @____@ I know the last episode was released fairly recently but I am dying for MOAR. MUST HAVE MOAR.
Though YOU introduced me to Neko Majin Z. I read your comment about Kuriza and was like "hmm I should read that" and lo and behold, onemanga enlightened me.

Self parodies are the BEST!
Though parodies in general are pretty awesome stuff. FFFFF GOD I JUST CAN IMAGINE Recoome replacing Nappa in the "extremely annoying oaf" department of this season.

Or they go the other way and make Recoome extremely smart and reasoned. They twisted Mr.Popo into a sadistic psycho, so who knows...?

Haha, OH GOD THAT WOULD BE SHOCKING! I think Popo's interpretation is slight mockery of the original Dragonball series since he was BA opponent for Goku at the end of the series, but mostly it's for their own humor.
Ok they definitely need Ginyu to switch bodies more then twice. All they gotta do is overlay the voice, it will be epic.

YES! Ginyu in Bulmas body is still one of my all time favorite parts in DBZ, even though it was filler, so... yes, seeing some bodychange hysteria would be epic indeed.
