Hey all!
Man! What a great weekend! Sarah and I finally went on my birthday gift weekend trip to San Francisco to see Jonathan Richman (one of my top 3 favorite musicians of all time) play a show! I'd never seen him perform live, and lemme tell you, that man DID NOT DISAPPOINT! He may be getting older, but he's as hilarious and AWESOME as he's ever been! I was able to nab some bitchin' photos of the man here , here and here ! AMAZING SHOW! If you don't know, look up his myspace and be rocked.

So anyway, here's a new DEAD DAYS for the beautiful internets! I was gonna start a new series, but Sarah did alot of shopping on our little trip which got me to thinking about clothing and how most comics don't concern themselves with it. Nope, pick an outfit for your guys and gals and, unless they go horribly out of style, you STICK WITH EM! Us artists have WAAAAY too much to think about creating a FEW PANELS of cartoons and hilariousness to waste PRECIOUS TIME thinking up and illustrating new outfits for their characters.

I was being serious. Did that come off as sarcastic?

I know, I know, the main reason we all do it is so that people can effortlessly and instantly recognize the character we're drawing. It also creates a familiarity and a sort of a "brand" on your characters making them iconic. Still, a little change wouldn't hurt.

I mean, I'm not gonna do it, because I'm lazy, but all you other non-lazy cartoonist out there, go nuts. Let me know how that works out for you. *yawn*

So, thanks for reading everyone! I'll start a new series next week unless, again, I think of another lil one-shot I wanna get off my chest. Now then, go rock out to Jonathan Richman, and that's an order!
