OK, not wednesday but an early upload. Again one of the last pic from 2018...
This time the chinook. I like this heli alot. As a kid.. i hated it. It had no guns. XDDDD
Just blended from cobra apachii hind and so on. XD

Well in that the Chinook is capable of higher speeds than the Apache and Cobra. It's role as a transport chopper is unsurpassed.

During the Vietnam war there was an armored gunship version that didn't do so well and was quickly pulled from service. I think Mattel made a toy based on it.

one of my favorite helicopters since i was a kid!
lived on the flight line housing in Hickam AFB Hawaii 1988-92 and always watched these take off!
