Flipping through my archived work from yesteryear, I have rediscovered some gems that need some modern reinterpretation.

This guy dates back to 1997. I found him among the some of the other Greek letter characters I drew around then (see Beta [link] & Iota [link] ). As he had no name included, I have decided to dub him Agent UPSILON of Project Phoenix!

The original design, horrible anatomy aside, was a bit busy. I really liked the energy blades and the visor. Sticking with the color scheme and a few design elements I created the updated character on the right...

"Agent UPSILON was a super soldier to come out of Project Phoenix, or rise from the Augmented Super Human Experimental Soldier (A.S.H.E.S.) program. An anonymous black ops soldier mortally wounded in the line of duty maintains his anonymity as a test subject/operative of the A.S.H.E.S. program. His body altered to house an unusual metallic internal organ, harvested from the body of crashed extraterrestrial, Agent Upsilon's anatomy under went an unusual transformation that allows him to extend energy constructs from his body at points where his tissue moves aside to allow protrusion. Specializing in bladed constructs, Upsilon joins his fellow Project Phoenix agents in the covert protection of our country and mankind."
