From 1993, I present GAMMA! Another in a series of Greek letter characters from the past.

My original creation was most likely supposed to be some sort of energized character exploding with power.

I thought that was too boring and the name “Gamma” invokes the Hulk and his related menagerie of characters. I decided to go in a different direction with a different interpretation of my original creation.

“Once a hazardous material specialist in the Army, the soldier, now dubbed Agent GAMMA, was critically injured when his unit was ambushed by insurgents attempting to steal the vats of unidentified hazardous materials that the unit was transporting. Given a new life under Project Phoenix and the Augmented Super Human Experimental Soldier (A.S.H.E.S.) program, Gamma aids his fellow agents in the protection of our country and planet.

The unidentified materials that washed over the soldier’s body during the ambush changed the man. Changed him from a man to what can best be described as a “cohesive, intelligent goo.” Project Phoenix has outfitted Gamma with gear that allows him to communicate and maintain a humanoid form. Gamma is unaffected by most projectile weapons, as they pass through him, can survive in harmful environments, can stick to surfaces and can excrete goo with adhesive or corrosive properties.”
