The more I looked into my previous designs for umbra, the more i realized how the color white really brings some balance to her. So i've combined aspects of a few of her previous incarnations to get something i'm truly happy with. The only other thing is that she seems shorter here than she actually is lol, but i can change that easily in the future. You guys have seen my whole "adventure" with designing umbra and i appreciate that you've all still been interested in her.ΒRelated content

This is a fantastic design progression you gave her and i love this design also.
Many 'Art of' books for movies we see tons of designs for one character and how sometimes the final design looks nothing like the first yet perfect for the intended crafted character, characterization, and movie.
Here she looks sexy, fashionable, and a bit innocent adorable freindly vs the first designs where she looked good but also a bit high end but less embraceful to others.

lol yeah it's been a ride. Each time i told myself to stop and stick to the latest design i made......but i was never quite happy lol until now. I might make a chart or something of all the designs it took to get to this one.Β

I love seeing art design and creation and development studies (where you see drawing line works and study pages before artists go to final art piece), redraws (showing a art style progress and designs), and other matters of progress and creation and how by viewing works we might learn and be helped in making works as well.

While on the subway today I was inspired to try making a quick rough sketch on my phone of your Umbra.Β Part to practice and part to pass the time while making a simple single picture 'fanart' and a pose practice.Β Β 1541749848236

Once agian while on the subway I decided to continue and this time have a less sketchy linework add some color based on this picture.Β 1541895807890
I might go further to add addition shading and maybe highlights to her as part of the next practice in making art.

I'm so glad I get to see umbra drawn by you again. I love seeing this girl. I only wish I could commission art of her, but I know that you prefer not to draw commission orders of umbra from other people.
