Somewhat interesting subject. I like how the background is black. It was a good choice for this to be in black and white. The aperture could have been adjusted so that the rope was all in focus. Good overall.

I definitely agree. I feel that the higher aperture could have also helped bring out more detail in his hand; the softness bothers me a bit.
