Description I seem to generate automatic drawings (posh doodles) as a side product of doing almost anything. Most of them end up in the wastebasket but some I save and scan. By now I have hundreds of them.

Tanguy. No not really, but he's the only "automatist" I can think of. Anybody else? (apart from him and daYavuz)

For this one, Wayne Barlowe, actually. I should left out the automatic drawing thing, it's really a doodle/sketch.

You are most welcome, thanks to you for all of your late support. That Wayne Barlowe is more of a fantasy artist (reminds me of Moebius for what I have seen), did he do something like this as well?

He creates entire worlds; you should have a peek at his Darwin IV expedition book if you can. There was also an interesting documentary based on that book. It is ofc more 'concept art' than 'fine art', but he also has a very solid technique.

Yup, those are selections from the book. I prefer his drawings actually.

They live on a very windy planet with a dominant wind direction, so they grow in columns that have a narrow cross section in the direction of the wind, but that are wide in the other direction to collect sunlight. The thingies on top are the pollen dispensers.

Very well thought of! It's funny to see how we can loose our sense of scale sometimes (with your description I could imagine a building now)
