Submitted for: KVIE Art Auction 2011
Reason for title:
The piece showing a 1940s Cadillac four door and classic Cadillac logo of the time was created to mimic old product advertisements one might find in magazines in the 1930s to 1950s. ‘Patriotic Soul’ became the title of the piece partially from the colors in both subjects matters and partially due to the face that Cadillac is one of the oldest American automotive manufacturers. The title is also a reflection of how the American mind set was of the time where nothing could stop us, our pride for fine craftsmanship that lasts, and hope for the future.

Finished it just in time! Here is the finished result of my 1940s Cadillac that I've been working on. I'm hoping to be accepted again this year so keeping my fingers crossed.
