It created magic.. it was the engine the Brits had in their Spitfires.. originally done by Rolls Royce.. when we sent the P51 Mustangs to England.. they were underpowered..and they underperformed until the Brits fitted them out with this engine..they became legends.. all pretty magic!

To be honest I wasn't thinking when I asked that, Of course it wouldn't have powered a Lancaster if it was an Allison built Merlin. More than likely powered one of these. [link]
