We saw a display like this for Memorial Day a couple of years ago...near the California Capital Building...such a graphic representation - more moving than a mere number!!!

I ran upon something similar to this almost 3 years ago in Vermont - the difference was that it was simply a field with flags in it, with a sign indicating the current number.
i've wanted to post the shot i took, but it wasn't very well done - i didn't have enough room to get a good view of the whole thing, and it simply looked cluttered.
you have no such issues - a very touching and poignant image.
great job.

Thanks Toady. I got that on the way home from work on the back roads last year.. the local church youth group up in EAston had put them out on the church lawn.. It was pretty moving.
We are still in Iraq to keep the price of gas below %79 a gallon apparently. I dont know..

Very effective imagery.
1 American flag = 20+ Iraqi civilian deaths (non-combatant). That's over 100,500 Iraqi civilians. It's all senseless death, regardless where they come from.
