Get used to that title "Sitting Pretty" - there are a few illustrations I'v been working on lately that I can use it with
So, long-time fans of Satin may remember that I posted this picture from 1998 in her gallery. Recently, I decided to redraw it because I think I can do a better job of it this time; also I wanted a new illo for the front page of her own site to replace the current "under construction" graphic that's been there for a lot longer than I wanted or intended. (The new pic isn't there yet; when it is I'll let you know in my journal.)

Wow, this hits me right in the sweet spot. Satin Steele is a great character, I liked her already when I was much younger. Always great to see new artwork of her! I like her calm facial expression and details on the arms, as well as how the dress folds. The marble pillar is also well done, doesn't detract from the character by having too much detail - just the right amount and balance between paint and texture. Great picture overall.
