Just a quickie. I attempted to copy but modernize the look of the standard TOS planet. If you want it, I can send it to you in an alpha channel .psd file.And... I want to make a confession here. I think you have noticed that I make less pictures like I did in the good old days and most of them are not of the better quality. I fail to respond to comments for days, etc. I have troubles, folks, with my mum. She's schyzophrenic and she has moments of rage, times I have to flee my own home and look for shalter at my grandma's. Yesterday, she had a suicide attempt. I found her lying on the floor when I came back from school. She ingested a good amount of medicine. She's at the intensice psychological ward now. I'm more than a bit tired now. I try to keep up the spirits, my family needs me. And don't worry, I'll try to keep up your daily dose of Trek

I don't know much on Vanguard, I just saw Masao's design and build the mesh. You can say this isn't Vangard, but another J-class starbase.

Beautiful picture David, Not sure if I prefer the old style ship or Rickys take on the intermediate ships the best, bit of a toss up as of present I would say. (thats toss of the coin btw) I'm quite enjoying playing with Ricky's "lego" just like hubby and all the guys at the rpg club are. I'll post a ship I've made later this week, I've just got to work out how to do the curving text for the NCC number.

The curving! It took me a bit to work that out. Here's what you need to do:
- Open a PS document with about 1000X1000 pixels
- Add a New Layer and a New Path
- On the Path, create a perfect circle with the Ellipse Tool in Path mode
- When done, right click and Flip the circle Vertically
- Use the Horizontal Type Tool with Center Text settings. Click on the direct bottom on the Path circle, type in the stuff you want and it appears curved. From than on, you can cut the rest of the image to correspont with the needed size.

great pic man. If memory serves I know your not overly religious but, both you and your mother are in my prayers. Remember your not the only one out there in pain feel free to e-mail me if need a good leaning post. I know how it feels to have a family member attempt Suicide we just learned my Uncle succeeded today so it would seem that today was a good day to die since it seems to be going around. I even took several orders for funerals this evening.

I follow and greatly enjoy your pictures every time you post a new one, and as a result of this I've come to regard you pretty fondly, despite knowing very little about you. Sorry to hear about your Mother's situation and I really hope you are able to keep your spirits up.
Don't feel obliged to post your work just for our sake, as captshade up there just said, real life comes first. Take care of yourself, and only make these when you feel you'll enjoy it. =]

I can think of no one that would fault you for taking care of family first...I myself am taking care of my mom that's in a wheelchair...so I understand the importance of family. Just remember that when you can steal a few minutes for yourself we are always here for you. Take it at your own pace, and when you do post we will be all the hungrier for that special Dave stew of art we have come to expect...
I hope, like all of us, that the docs can help your mom and things get better.
