"Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war!" This was one of the best space battles in Star Trek history, and on the eve of galactic peace as well!

Impressive. I like how you got the torpedo effect down to a "T." And then there's the explosion... *Sigh* A true work of art.

Great pic as usual. My only real complaint about TUC, besides Saavik being replaced as the renegade Vulcan, was that they never even suspected the Romulans being behind the assassination plot. Improved cloaking device and against the Federation and Klingons allying? Screams Romulus to me.

I'm glad it wasn't Saavik. She is my all-time favourite Trek character.

I liked her too. But it would have made even better drama for a character we had known for a long time to betray her friends's trust. Especially since we had seen on film her personal experience with Klingon brutality; giving her real motive to want the Klingons destroyed.

Nah, I want Saavik to be a kickass tactical officer on the Enterprise-B!

Yeah, too bad since she'll probably never even be born now!

I can easily imagine Saavik in the new continuity as a bred-for-purpouse infiltrator/spy of the Romulans. Than she learns her true Vulcan heritage, gives Romulus the finger and off she goes to Starfleet.

EXPLOSIONS!

I like the part where the hull is fragmenting on the starboard wing.

And the cloaking effect, too!

What I loved about this sequence in STVI is the demonstration of how much sheer punishment a Connie can take, as well as dish out.

For who knows how long, Chang pounded on the Enterprise getting through her shields, and even breaching her hull with a sustained torpedo barrage.

Once the Big E got a solid target lock, bam end of fight.

That sequence is so satisfying, I rewind it every time I watch STVI.

Thanks for the memories.

My all-time favourite Trek moment was when the Enterprise and the Excelsior fly into the Khitomer sunrise. It shows how old the good Connie has become (and also her crew) with the brand new, shiny Excelsior next to her. It shows me that an era has come to its end. I always have tears in my ese at that scene...

well i think the BOP is just being decloaked by the Enterprises torpedohit, as it happened in TUC

In which case, initially, not the entire hull should be visible, only the area and surroundings of impact. Difficult to show in a still picture this is...
