outstanding on so many levels; the pose/gesture, the texture, the loose, gestural quality, the colors, . . . a masterwork, in my opinion.

Has this something to do with "Caeadas"? I was related with that project -- and later kicked out of it, but all my fault. Great sculpture, in any case.

This piece has an amazing textured look to it which makes it look lively, and the skin lived in. It may be to portray mottled or rotting flesh, but for me it gives an animated appearance. A bit like the roughness in some of Rodins work. By the way, could you tell me whether those eyes are the work of glass eyes or if it's paint? I'd say they have a realistic look that speaks of glass, but with your skill who knows what you are capable of

It's supposed to be skin and metal blended together and mad to look corroded over time. The eyes were painted.

it's great! though it doesn't look so much like a mummy to me, as like it's made of oxidized bronze - which actually makes me like it more!

That's more of the idea. his whole body is oxidized.

I wish I could sell him, but I don't actually have him. My friend owns him and he would never part w. him.

Superb use of earth tones. Speaks of the grave, which is perfectly appropriate for a mummy.
